Clear Aligners stores your treatment records locally. We do not operate a server that collects those records. Device backups and reports you choose to share are described below.
Clear Aligners ("the App") is a personal dental aligner wear-time tracking application developed by Rowix ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
We do not collect your treatment records on our servers. The App stores the following information locally on your device:
The App tracks and stores health and fitness related data, specifically your daily aligner wear time and treatment progress. This data is:
We do not access, read, or connect to any platform health services (such as Apple Health or Google Health Connect). The wear-time and treatment records are generated by the information you enter and the sessions you log in the App.
Treatment records and preferences are stored locally using platform-standard storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android). We do not operate a backend that collects your treatment records. Your operating system may include app data in a cloud backup or device transfer, depending on your settings. Apple and Google process subscription information through their respective stores.
We do not sell your treatment records or share them with advertisers. If you choose to export a CSV report, the report is prepared on your device and shared with the app or recipient you select. The App does not contain analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools. Operating-system backup and store billing are covered above.
The App uses the following third-party components:
The App may send local notifications (tray change reminders and break reminders) if you grant permission. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Purchases and parental controls are managed through the relevant Apple or Google account settings.
Wear session history is stored locally. You can erase local wear history and treatment information using the reset option in the App's Settings. Copies in operating-system backups or reports you have already exported are managed separately through the relevant device, service or recipient.
Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You can manage and erase the local records in the App. Uninstalling removes the local installation; operating-system backups and reports you previously shared may remain until you remove them separately.
Clear Aligners is a personal tracking tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your orthodontist or dental professional for medical guidance regarding your aligner treatment.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App and on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
